For me, Peru is not just a place - it's a feeling.

I grew up surrounded by the rich flavors, traditions, and stories of my Peruvian heritage. 

My family gathered around the table, where dishes like ají de gallina, empanadas, and alfajores became the backdrop for laughter and connection.

From an early age, I was drawn into the warmth of the culture. I watched my grandmother use fresh, simple, everyday ingredients — often far from the native ingredients of Peru — and still transform them into age-old Peruvian dishes that created unforgettable connections and sensory joy.

Her creativity showed me that it’s not about having the perfect ingredients, but about infusing love, tradition, and resourcefulness into every meal.

I carry those lessons with immense gratitude. They shaped the person I am today and inspired the creation of Part Peruvian.

These moments were about more than cooking — they were about love, culture, and creating memories that last a lifetime.

Through her guidance, I learned how food and traditions can celebrate history, bridge generations, and remind us of where we come from.

Food has always connected family and friends, and my grandmother’s recipes form the foundation of my most cherished childhood memories.
